I do not believe there is ONE optimal exact diet for human health. Though research does prove time and time again that a primary whole foods & plant-based diet incorporates all of the recommended vitamins and essential nutrients to help prevent chronic disease, cancer and boost immune health, fertility, mental health and maintaining an optimal weight. That being said, certain “healthy” foods – like apples for instance – may also trigger unhealthy reactions like oral allergy syndrome or IBS in certain individuals. Everyone is so incredibly different on a cellular level, I think our diets have to reflect that as well.
